We are based at Lake Whitney (South of Fort Worth, Texas). Listed below are our base prices for private lessons at Lake Whitney. We do travel to teach. For us to come to you, we add on gas and time of travel. Other additional prices include:
- $10 course fee if not a member of the ACA (https://americancanoe.org/)
- $25 gear rental fee
- $25 rushed insurance fee if lesson is not booked 12 days in advance
- *3% processing fee through Venmo and PayPal
Courses are non-refundable and non-transferable unless we cancel for unforeseen circumstances.
Introduction to Whitewater Kayaking
Half Day on Lake Whitney

Description: Beginner friendly, this course will walk you step by step through the knowledge and skills you need to become a competent whitewater kayaker. The class covers: proper boat fit, the wet exit, the hip snap, strokes, edging, and bracing.

Full Day on Lake Whitney

Description: This class will give you the confidence you need to head to the river. It covers proper boat fit, river terminology, the wet exit, strokes, edging, bracing, rescues and highlights the kayak roll.
Duration: Full Day, 6 hours

Kayak Roll Clinic on Lake Whitney

Description: The kayak roll is the foundation of whitewater kayaking. When you have a solid roll you can really dial in your skills on the river. We teach a variety of rolls which make our clinics great for beginner to advanced paddlers.

San Marcos River Trip

Description: The San Marcos River is a great place for beginner to intermediate paddlers to practice their skills. This course covers paddling terminology, safety, portaging hazards, river reading, scouting, how to empty your boat, bracing, effective body usage, eddying, ferrying, and so much more.
