San Marcos River: Intro to River Kayaking
This river course is designed for beginner to intermediate recreational and whitewater paddlers. We cover river terminology, safety, rescues, strokes, catching eddies, peeling out, ferrying, and more.
Location: San Marcos River in San Marcos, TX

Time: 8:00 to 2:00(ish)
Price: $350/person, additional $25 for gear rentals + $10 course fee for non ACA members
Kayak Roll Clinic
Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn how to roll a kayak or you just need help perfecting your roll, this is the class for you. The class covers wet exits, rescues, and how to roll a whitewater kayak.
Location: Lake Whitney
Dates: Private Lessons Available (Burleson Indoor Roll Courses start back up in November/December)
Time: 2 hours
Price: $100/person, additional $25 for gear rentals
Introduction to Kayaking & Introduction to SUP
We teach these courses in our backyard at Lake Whitney, and we partner with Kayak Instruction in Rowlett, Texas. No experience needed! Learn how to use the gear appropriately and control the boat. These courses will give you the confidence and knowledge needed to go on paddling adventures with your friends.
Location: Lake Whitney (South of Fort Worth)
Dates for 2025: July 26th
Price: $90/person, price includes gear rental and ACA course fee waived
Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm (Kayaking) and 1:00 to 4:00 (SUP)
